30 June: red stems, patchy, flowers are intriguing, nice red color, nice flowering display.
15 July: foliage strange shade of green, flower shape makes you look twice, big improvement over last two weeks, odd shape of flowers makes plant look spent from some angles, starting to look tired, good color, very different flower, funky.
30 July: lower leaves are browning, interesting flower shape, color fading, really like the unusual flowers, intriguing, but somewhat questionable color contrast.
15 Aug: past prime, lots of browning, nice flower shape, all flowers faded and wilted, unique flower, dead flowers detract.
30 Aug: interesting flower shape, good color still, interesting flower, foliage detracts, still can't decide if I like this.
15 Sept: unique flowers, really shines on a cloudy day.
